Morphological Systematics of Spathoglottis Blume (Orchidaceae: Collabieae) in Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo

Seventy-two morphological characters and three ecological characteristics were measured to assess variation phylogenetic relationships among twelve species infraspecific taxa of the genus Spathoglottis from Peninsular Malaysia Borneo. The analyses divided into two main groups based on colours flower: Purple-Flowered Yellow-Flowered Spathoglottis. Species within groupings further classified size plants (Large/Dwarf Purple Large/Dwarf Yellow Spathoglottis) shapes labellum (spathulate, bilobulate or narrow/thread–like). selected appeared support taxonomic boundaries between mostly debated in genus, S. aurea microchilina.
